These rich and indulgent brownies are a true crowd-pleaser, combining deep chocolate flavors with a unique twist of our organic Butter Olive Oil. Inspired by classic American desserts but elevated with high-quality ingredients, they offer a soft, fudgy center and a flaky top—just as brownies should be! Adding crushed Heath chocolate bars and optional caramel chips gives the perfect sweet, crunchy bite. The butter-flavored olive oil not only enhances the texture but also brings a velvety smoothness while remaining dairy-free. This recipe is simple to prepare, making it ideal for an impressive dessert or special treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gluten Free 1:1 flour
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate for melting
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate for melting
  • 4 oz Heath chocolate bar crushed
  • 1/2 cup Organic Butter Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup 22/24 fat dutched cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs room temp
  • 1 cup regular sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional:
  • Caramel chips
  • Heath chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square pan with coconut oil. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, and Butter Olive Oil until creamy. Stir repeatedly to ensure it melts evenly and avoid burning. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, gluten-free flour, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix using a rubber spatula until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Fold the crushed Heath chocolate bar into the batter with 2–3 gentle stirs. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. If desired, sprinkle caramel chips and Heath chips evenly on top.
  6. Bake for 35–45 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center will come out mostly clean but not completely dry, and the top will begin to crack. Remove the pan and let it cool on a baking rack for 1 hour. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing to achieve the perfect clean cut.

Alternative Olive Oil Suggestions
For a deeper flavor, substitute or complement the butter-flavored olive oil with our Classic Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil for a more balanced taste. For an exciting variation, try using our Blood Orange Infused Olive Oil for a hint of citrus that pairs beautifully with chocolate.

Using high-quality olive oil like ours ensures the brownies remain moist, flavorful, and free of unwanted additives. It also provides a healthier fat alternative without compromising the taste or texture.
